With Valentine’s Day being literally around the corner, I wanted to share five Netflix original romantic comedies that are easy on my hopeless romantic, single pringle heart.
Every single one of these movies is incredibly predictable, which makes them easy to watch for a potential Valentine’s Day night in.
The Princess Switch
- Released: November 16, 2018
- Running time: 1 hr. 42 min.
- Main characters: Duchess of Montenaro and Stacy De Novo (Vanessa Hudgens), Prince Edward (Sam Palladio) & Kevin Richards (Nick Sagar)
- Synopsis: It’s very cliché and predictable. A duchess switches lives with a woman from Chicago who looks exactly like her, and they each fall in love.
Always Be My Maybe
- Released: May 29, 2019

- Main characters: Sasha Tran (Ali Wong) & Marcus Kim (Randall Park)
- Synopsis: Childhood sweethearts reconnect after fifteen years of not speaking to each other and since they live in two different worlds, they go on an interesting love journey.
Love, Guaranteed

- Main characters: Susan Whitaker (Rachael Leigh Cook) & Nick Evans (Damon Wayans Jr.)
- Synopsis: After being guaranteed by a dating site he’ll find love and remaining single after one thousand dates, Nick decides to sue the dating site and hires Susan Whitaker to be his lawyer for the case. This is the start of their cliché story.
Resort to Love

- Synopsis: After experiencing a blow to her career, Erica takes a job singing at a resort just to receive another hit when she finds out she’s singing at her ex-fiancé’s wedding. While working through her feelings, Erica possibly finds loves in someone else.
The Royal Treatment

Whether you’re spending Valentine’s Day by yourself (like me) or with a loved one, I hope you feel the love from others, but most importantly, I hope you show yourself a lot of love.
