I am shook to the core. For four years, this man, the beautiful Chadwick Boseman, was fighting colon cancer. We lost him today. The tears are streaming uncontrollably. I am so shocked. My heart is racing. My brain isn’t processing. A true icon.

When it comes to losing weight, I’m not someone who will see results immediately, especially since my metabolism is almost nonexistent. Still, I’m proud of my body and all that she’s accomplishing. I just posted a month of me doing MadFit’s workouts, including a playlist of all the workouts I did and when I did them in the month of July. ✨

SEASON TWO OF THE PODCAST RELEASES ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!!!! CAN YOU TELL I’M EXCITED?? She’s coming back with a new name, new music, and clearer content while still being authentic (aka a mess). ✨

I feel like I haven’t properly introduced myself so... what’s up? My name is Jamilah; I am a 21-year-old awkward extrovert (from Tennessee) who likes to do all the things. I am a blogger, podcaster, writer, digital artist, and wannabe graphic designer. • On top of all of that, I am entering my fourth (and final!!) year of university. I am majoring in interior architecture and minoring in radio/TV/film. Plus, I am a part time retail worker. • As you can probably tell, I like all things creative. I love expressing myself in unique ways. I also have an unhealthy love for coffee ice cream, reading, anything style related, the color yellow, watching as many movies as possible on all streaming platforms, and dogs that I’m allergic to. ✨

THIS!!! • i hate turning on the news. it’s so depressing nowadays, and where i live, despite everything that’s going on, there’s been an increase in senseless murders (a guy literally walked up to a 5-year-old and shot and killed him). if there’s something i need to know, Google either notifies me or i check out @shityoushouldcareabout everyday (where i got this photo). i HIGHLY recommend following them, especially if you’re tired of the news too but want to stay informed.✨

I’m not sure if you follow my personal account (@meeluh_ ) , but I lost someone I love yesterday morning, which has resulted in my life being turned upside down and plans being halted. There’s no new content this week (and maybe next week) as I try to get things together and take my time feeling and grieving. ✨

2 is better than 1. the world is literally falling apart right now, but it’s still important to stay connected with friends. while being completely aware of the pandemic, a friend and i hung out at a park and talked in the back of my car for a few hours since we both experienced a summer we weren’t expecting. how are you staying connected?

as i head back to school (because i do still have in-person classes), i wanted to share one of the many things (or shall i say people?) i discovered in quarantine. this is ROLE MODEL, and i am now absolutely obsessed with his music. go check him out!

How did I end my cell phone free day? With a mini serving of my favorite coffee ice cream • The world is very chaotic right now (especially America, which just reached 4 million COVID cases). I’ve been feeling overwhelmed and anxious recently with everything going on in the world and my personal life so I spent the day without my phone. It was AMAZING. It was incredibly freeing. I felt so at ease, like I could actually think. If you ever have a day with the opportunity to turn your phone off, I definitely recommend doing it. ✨
