In 2022, I listened to over forty-five thousand minutes of music, according to Spotify. Most of that time was spent listening to the same songs on repeat, but ninety-eight percent of those songs came from the albums below, albums I listened to for the first time this year. Since there’s so many of them, in true Simply Jamilah fashion, I decided to rank them.

absolutely superior: Albums I can’t forget. Albums I have (and if I don’t, will have) saved in my music library. Beautiful works of art that you can’t not continuously listen to.
good the first go around: The title of the category speaks for itself. They were good the first time, but I don’t know if I’ll make a go at listening to the entire project again.
