In another effort to document my life, to have a way to remember the highs and lows of my existence, Jamilah on Film was born in 2022. There’s something so soothing about sitting for hours and curating parts of my life into moving images, knowing the generation(s) after me have the ability to see how chaotic (in every sense of the word) my life was. Jamilah on Film is an extension of Simply Jamilah, so the message remains the same: anyone and everyone with a kind heart, genuine intentions, and open mind is welcome.
