… to See if They Matched My Personality
I spent a Saturday night taking a bunch of online quizzes to see who they (I guess “they” being the Internet) say I am. Some of them are pretty spot on, and some of them were interesting.
If you’re bored and need something to do, I highly recommend doing this. It’s fun to see the results, especially if they weren’t what you were expecting, and it’s a great way to pass time.
Here are the quizzes, the results, and my reaction:
Which Character From “On My Block” Are You?
Available on: BuzzFeed
Results: Spooky
Description: “You’re more than meets the eye. You may come off as intimidating, but DEEEEEEPPPP down, you’re actually a softie with a heart of gold. However, that doesn’t mean you won’t knock someone out for messing with you or your squad.”
Reaction: Honestly, the description is spot on (hello RBF). I just wasn’t prepared to get Spooky as the result.
What Type Of Person Are You?
Available on: Quizony
Results: a Dreamer
Description: “You’re a true idealist and romantic combined – the world fascinates you, and you never hesitate to question and challenge what you see. You are bold in style and mind, and willing to engage in some good old fashioned rebellion if it’s for the greater good. You may be a natural born contrarian, but the truth is that you’re driven by a desire to see everyone live up to their highest potential.”
Reaction: Everything is very spot on, except I do hesitate sometimes.
What Kind of Person Are You Really?
Available on: BuzzFeed
Results: Lawful Good
Description: “Your actions are motivated by compassion and a sense of duty. You rarely do anything for your own benefit or gain, but rather in service of others. Notable peers: Hermione Granger from Harry Potter, Superman, Liz Lemon from 30 Rock, Leslie Knope from Parks and Rec, and Lord Crawley from Downton Abbey.”
Reaction: It’s mostly true. In recent years, though, I’ve learned to do things for my own benefit; I’d like to call it self-care. The only people I’ve heard of that are listed are Superman and Leslie Knope.
What Type of Blog Should I Start?
Available on: Blogging Her Way
Results: The Lifestyle Blog
Description (key sentences): “… The great thing about having a lifestyle blog is that you can really make it your own… To be successful as a lifestyle blogger, you shouldn’t be afraid to put yourself out there and get personal with your readers. The best ways to make money with a lifestyle blog are affiliate marketing and working with brands on sponsored posts.”
Reaction: I’m happy this was the result because I think this is a lifestyle blog… maybe? At least, I want it to be eventually.
Style Type Quiz
Available on: Visual Therapy
Results: Dominant style: Whimsical Combination style: Bohemian
Description: For whimsical: “Whimsical style is playful and appears to be ‘thrown together’ but is actually a thoughtful combination of colors and patterns. If you’re whimsical, you’re usually young at heart and you’re look is ethereal and romantic.”
For bohemian: “Bohemian style is relaxed, lived-in, or funk, and incorporates offbeat accessories and usually lots of denim and suede. It’s a related look with an emphasis on natural fabrics and earth tones.”
Reaction: Most of the time, my outfits are thrown together, and that’s the only thing I can fully agree on. I don’t know how I feel about everything else.
What’s My Aesthetic?
Available on: Mr. Kate
Results: Glam
Description (key sentences/phrases/words): “You love shiny things and anything chic. You love spaces that scream opulence and a luxurious vibe… mirrored furniture and gold accents… blush pink and furry pillows… Upholstered furniture is your friend… You don’t see a lot of wood… Curtains should be silk, satin or velvet.”
Reaction: I feel like this isn’t me at all. I love wood for interior spaces and want several different pieces of furniture with as little blush pink as possible. Personally, I think I’m far from a Glam interior aesthetic.
Everyone is a Netflix Original TV Character — Which One Are You?
Available on: BuzzFeed
Results: Lydia Alvarez from One Day at a Time (funny because the show is no longer on Netflix…)
Description: “Like Lydia, you’re the life of the party. You always wear your heart on your sleeve and you’re often considered the mom of your friend group. You’re bold, outgoing, and a natural-born leader.”
Reaction: I feel like a good portion of this is true. I’m not sure if I’m the life of a party or the mom of my friend group; that’s something I’ll have to ask my friends.
Myers-Briggs Test
Available on: 16Personalities
Results: ESFP-T
Description: “If anyone is to be found spontaneously breaking into song and dance, it is the Entertainer personality type. Entertainers get caught up in the excitement of the moment, and want everyone else to feel that way, too. No other personality type is as generous with their time and energy as Entertainers when it comes to encouraging others, and no other personality type does it with such irresistible style.” There’s a lot more where that came from. If you’re interested and want to read more, click here for more information about the ESFP personality type.
Reaction: Honestly, I think this matches my personality really well. I do spontaneously break out into song and dance (especially at the grocery store). I do tend to get caught up in the excitement of the moment. I do think I’m generous with my time and energy. I do think I have irresistible style (totally gonna hype myself up). I haven’t read everything else, but that little paragraph does match me, in my opinion. I’m just kind of surprised it has the title “Entertainer.”
The Enneagram Personality Test
Available on: Truity
Results: Type 4 a.k.a The Individualist
Description: “Fours want to be unique and to live life authentically, and are highly attuned to their emotional experience.”
Reaction: Super spot on. I think that one sentence describes me perfectly. There was a more detailed description, but I definitely did not want to pay for it. Instead, here is how I matched up with the other Types:
Which Type of Music Are You?
Available on: JoyTunes Blog
Results: Indie
Description: “You’re down to earth, open to new experiences and love to discover new musicians. Whether you are at the hippest music festival or hanging out at home, you always know how to have a good time!”
Reaction: I feel like this is semi-true. I’m open to some new experiences, and I don’t think I always know how to have a good time. Sometimes it takes a little bit of coaxing. Also, I don’t listen to Indie music, so I find it kind of funny that’s the music type I ended up being.
These are all of my online quiz results. I feel like it provides more insight about my personality and how I go about life.
Again, I highly recommend doing this if you’re super bored and want to answer random Internet questions to pass time.
Until next time.
Be you. Be true. Make smart decisions.
